Westminster Presbyterian Church
Where loving God and neighbor is transforming lives
Sundays, 10:00 a.m.
Prelude begins at 9:45 a.m.
Westminster is again asking everyone, regardless of vaccination status, to wear masks while indoors. This is to help keep all members of our community well, per the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The livestream for the Sunday morning service can be found via the church website or our YouTube channel for those who would prefer to worship at home.
World Communion Sunday
Next Sunday, October 3
We will join with Christians around the globe in celebrating the Sacrament of Holy Communion. Those worshiping with us at home are invited to prepare ahead of time by having some type of bread and drink (that fit your dietary needs) ready for you and your household to use during communion.
A Peace and Global Witness Offering will be received.
-Music by the Knox Ringers, Knox Choir, and Westminster Choir-
Is there someone you would like us to pray for? Requests for prayer received are shared with the Westminster Email Prayer Ministry Team and remain confidential.
Memorial Organ Recital
Sunday, October 10, 4:00 p.m.
Members and friends of Westminster will once again be given the opportunity to memorialize a loved one by contributing to the Memorial Organ Recital Fund.
Meet Our Residents!
Westminster Presbyterian Church is excited to offer an eleven-month opportunity beginning in September for a recent college graduate exploring a possible call to professional church service. This program has two distinctive tracks: Music, and Mission.
My name is Mary Hoffmann (she/her) and I'm super excited to work with you as the Mission Resident this year! I'm originally from Texas and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2019 with a degree in geology. Since then, I briefly worked with Cross Trails Ministry before heading to Holden Village, a Lutheran retreat center located in the North Cascade mountains. I've spent the last two years living in community at Holden exploring the wilderness and my faith. I enjoy the outdoors, knitting, and community life.
I just graduated from Westminster Choir College with my Bachelor of Arts in Music, where I dipped my feet into almost every program the school offered before focusing my attention towards sacred music and piano pedagogy. For the past three years, I was the handbell and youth music director at Spruce Run Lutheran Church in Glen Gardner, New Jersey, where I fell in love with music as a form of ministry, especially when working with individuals who weren’t actively involved in the musical life of the church. Outside of music, I love geocaching, driving for long periods of time, and birdwatching (although I am devastatingly poor at identifying birds). I am infinitely excited to be at Westminster a few weeks from now and look forward to meeting you all and learning how to best serve this congregation.
