Volunteer Opportunities

What opportunities would you like to explore for spiritual growth, for doing mission (locally and beyond) or simply for great fellowship & fun? Put your faith into action in any of more than 64 different activities.

You will receive a response from us within two weeks of the day we receive it.

 

Office Volunteer

• Sunday morning office volunteer: provide information, answer phone, before, during, and after the service. Training provided.
  
• Occasional weekday office volunteer: answer phones and questions, file, and perform other simple office tasks.
  
• Pew cleaner: Help to keep the sanctuary neat and orderly, fill pew racks with inserts, maintain friendship register inserts

Worship Volunteers

• Greeters: opportunity to be one of the first to welcome people on Sunday mornings
  
• Ushers: training is provided, great way to meet lots of people in the church
  
• Wedding host: providing help and organization
  
• Funeral host: helping with different kinds of set up, helping to make sure things run smoothly
  
• Communion preparers: prepare wine and grape juice in cups, all materials up on chancel

Bus Drivers

• Sunday mornings for shut-ins and persons with limited mobility
  
• Transportation to tutoring program on Wednesdays and Thursdays
  
• Transportation for Just Friends, Youth Fellowship, mission trips, and other trip opportunities.
  
• This gives one an opportunity to meet a variety of adults and children involved with the church.

EJ Brown Partnership

• Tutor a child one hour a week
  
• Mentor a child one hour a week
  
• Snack provider
  
• Computer room monitor
  
• Bus driver
  
• Pre-tutoring activity leader: art, music, games, etc.

Children & Youth Ministry

• Nursery volunteer
  
• Sunday school teacher or helper
  
• Sunday night youth leader

Kitchen Helpers

• Dishwasher
  
• Food preparation
  
• Clean-up
  
• Decorations
