Our commitment to God's vision of peace with justice has led us into
relationships and trips with communities around our country and world.

Around our Country:

We have  sent adult mission teams to be present with and work along side our brothers and sisters in need. Over the years we have sent teams to Alaska, North Dakota, Kentucky, and Arizona;

Since August 2005,  Westminster has sent two adult teams and seven intergenerational teams to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi to work with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and the Hurricane Katrina Recovery Effort. In August 2008 Westminster sent a young adult team to help in the flood recovery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

2010 Intergenerational Mission Trip
June 13 – 19, Cost $150
This trip is open to youth and adults age 16 and up and youth ages 14 & 15 with an adult sponsor.  For the past four years we have worked with the Presbytery of Mississippi and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance in the ongoing effort to rebuild the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina. The destination for the 2010 trip has not been chosen yet.

Beyond our Borders: Partnership with Colombia Since 1998 Westminster has participated in the Presbytery of the Miami Valley's partnership with the Presbytery of the North Coast in Barranquilla, Colombia. Through our relationship with our brothers and sisters in Colombia we have learned about the Colombian reality and the work of the Presbyterian Church of Colombia. Many youth and young adults have participated in the partnership over the years and have traveled to the Presbytery of the North Coast and to visit our Sister Church, Primera Iglesia (First Church). Just this October, a group of women visited our Sister Church.
