Education, Practice, and Nurture for Children, Toddlers, and Infants (Birth - 6th Grade)

It's all about Relationships around here.  It begins with God loving us before we know it. We believe children are loved by God and by God’s Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, long before they are able to respond in faith. With every child we baptize, we pledge as a community of faith, to be in relationship with that child, caring, supporting and loving the family as well as the child, bringing them up, week-by-week, "in the nurture and admonition of Jesus Christ." 

How do we do our best to live up to this promise? Here's what happens on Sunday mornings for each age group:

	Beginning with infants we offer welcoming, safe and loving care for infants and toddlers, cared for by professionals and volunteers.
	Younger preschool children are introduced to Bible stories using a simple, original curriculum to give these 2’s-3’s  their first experiences with the Bible.
	Older preschoolers participate in Young Children and Worship where they can experience the worship of God prior to joining in the full life of the worshiping congregation.
	Younger elementary children (K-3) are invited to participate in Come and See, a worship experience designed for their age group.
	Elementary children (K - 6th) grow in their faith—as age-group shepherds and teachers share the Good News with children on Sunday mornings in CrossRoads:  Education for the Journey, our workshop-based educational program. Each Sunday the Bible story is actively experienced in colorful, stimulating learning environments which include computers, arts and crafts, storytelling, games, audio-visuals, movement, drama, role-playing, puppets, cooking, music and worship education.
	In addition our children and families also enjoy regular outings, activities and opportunities for fellowship and service with each other. Click on Calvin Fellowship page for upcoming activities.
